adolescent(청소년) 시설은 adolescent(청소년) 수련활동을 주된 목적으로 설치된 adolescent(청소년) 수련시설과, adolescent(청소년) 활동이 부수적으로 실시되는 adolescent(청소년) 이용시설로 구분된다(adolescent(청소년)기본법 제25조와 동법시행령 제27조).
여기서 adolescent(청소년) 수련시설은 다시 생활권, 자연권 수련시설과 유스호스텔로 구분되는데 생활권 수련시설은 다시 adolescent(청소년) 수련관과 adolescent(청소년) 文化의 집으로, 그리고 자연권 수련시설은 adolescent(청소년)수련원과 adolescent(청소년)야영장으로 구분된다 그리고 adolescent(청소년) 이용시설은 adolescent(청소년)기본법에 의해서 규정된 adolescent(청소년) 수련시설 이외의 시설로서 文化예술회관, 사회복지관, 체육시설 등이 있으며, 이들 중 adolescent(청소년)에게 상시 또는 정기적으로 제공하는 시설을 adolescent(청소년) 이용권장 시설로 지정할 수 있도록 하였다(adolescent(청소년)기본법 시행령 제38조의 2).
2003년 12월 발표된 개정adolescent(청소년)기본법 제3조에서 adolescent(청소년)시설은 adolescent(청소년)활동, adolescent(청소년) 복지 및 adolescent(청소년)보호에 제공되는 시설이라 정의(定義)하고 있다
